CR was found abandoned and starving, his shoulder had muscle atrophy and he could not bare weight on his leg. He was named Caledon Road after where he was found and taken to a local Riding School nearby, where he was kindly nursed. When the School closed, Heaven Can Wait Equine Rescue was contacted; from there he came to me. His condition was sad, lame and thin, but very sweet natured. His first two months were difficult, his pain was intense and he could not walk on hard ground. He spent his days from one stall to another, barely able to walk the short distance. With the snow he was able to go out, but walking was still difficult at times. After using Mobility for years on my arthritic twenty three year old, who happily gallops through the fields, I thought I would try it on CR. Now after a month on Mobility he is transformed, he wanders all over the fields now and to our delight for the first time probably since his injury, he has started trotting. His soundness varies, but on the days he feels good he shows us a lovely buoyant trot, a tail stuck up in the air and an attitude of "how good the world is"! After questioning if he could ever have a "true quality of life", we now know that on Mobility he can.

Last year, I purchased a 6 year old ex-race horse, who, after x-rays I was told would need injections in his hocks and front ankles within a year to 18 months. Last May, we started him on Mobility, just to see if there would be any difference. He was never really stiff, or anything, but my daughter, his rider, did notice a difference in his way of going after about a month on Mobility.

Well, just this past month, he had run out of Mobility, and we decided to see if it was making a difference and not purchase another bucket of it. Sure enough, about two weeks after he finished his last pail, he was stiff coming out of his stall. I decided it was time to have him flexed to determine if now was the time for injections. The vet flexed him and said his joints were very good!! And, his stiffness was muscular: he had bruised his right shoulder and strained his left stifle. Well, we put him right back on Mobility.

The fact that he as been on Mobility has no doubt kept him sound. The vet was very surprised at how well he flexed, which was well within the normal range. He will be re x-rayed in the spring, at which time we will compare with his first set of x-rays to see if there have been any changes that would indicate the need for injections. Frankly, I think he will not need them because the Mobility is keeping him moving well.

My 12 year old small pony developed a recurring stiffness in her stifle during the past summer making her lame off and on. Since putting her on Mobility, she has not been lame at all! The only exception was when I ran out of Mobility & she went several days without it. The lameness re-appeared. It disappeared again within a day or 2 of going back on Mobility!

I am writing to express my appreciation of your excellent product - Mobility. My mare is a 14 year old Thoroughbred/Percheron cross who was diagnosed with bone spavin of her left hock 2 1/2 years ago. My vet has been treating her for this with DMSO and Predef, which was to be painted on her hock before work. I also have had to administer bute during intermittent periods of unsoundness. She had a cortisone injection late in August of 1996. At that time the vet said she would probably need another one any time after 8 weeks. However, she stayed reasonably sound until mid December. Instead of giving her another injection at that time, the vet suggested I give Mobility a try, as she had seen good results with other horses she was treating for the same problem. I started Amber on your product December 14 1996. She received a double dose of two cups per day for 14 days, and since then I have reduced the dosage to 1 cup per day. She seems like a new horse! She is so much more supple, and consistently attentive to my aids.

 

My instructor cannot believe the difference in her performance. She is turned out all day, and cavorts around like a much younger animal. There are still a few periods of stiffness at the beginning of her work, especially when the weather is damp, but she has been working out of it.

My mare and I thank you for providing us with such a worthwhile product!!!!!!

I have just been visiting your web site and reading the testimonials, and thought I should drop you a line. I have a welsh hackney cross hunter pony. He has many allergies; as well he is slightly heavey as well. We had previously had him on prednisone and sputolysin (an expectorant) in order to keep him comfortable and ridable. This was a shame as he is only 9 years old. We started him on Breathe in the fall of 1998 to see if we could take him off of the drugs and perhaps be able to show him. After being on nothing but Breathe, he does not cough at all, and has been showing successfully on the trillium circuit. We are looking forward to another successful show season thanks to your product.

I just wanted to let you know about the phenomenal results I had from Breathe.

My gelding had a cough for a couple of months which two vets separately attributed to allergies. We reached a point where he was on Tri-Hist, and we were wetting both his hay and feed, with no improvement. Sometimes the cough was particularly deep, other times it was just constant. He always coughed when worked and was even coughing when turned out. He is in a large pasture all day or all night, depending on the season.

He received his first dose of Breathe on a Saturday and when I rode on Thursday, he coughed only once! He had a couple of rides that following weekend in particularly hot and humid weather and coughed a little, and that was the end of it. He worked Thu., Fri., and Sat. of last week and coughed a grand total of twice! Whereas canters had to be cut short due to his cough in the past, now it's around and around and around some more.

Your product is great and I want to thank you. I will surely recommend it to anyone I know who is having coughing issues with his/her horse. I so prefer an herbal remedy to meds and Breathe clearly is the product for us.

Breathe and Serenity -

Thank you for your continuing dedication in finding alternative therapies for our equine friends. I would like to relate to you my experiences with your herbs, specifically Breathe and Serenity. In September of 1997, I was attending a Spruce Meadows show and visited your booth there. As a Horticulturist, I have always been interested in the natural healing properties of herbs grown over the centuries. Unfortunately in our part of Canada, access to herbal remedies for anyone is extremely limited, let alone for horses. We own two purebred Arabian mares (Spoons Antasia and Sheza Desert Rose) and one Partbred Arabian gelding (Superstitious Satisfaction). One of our mares was exposed to dusty grain and hay when she was a yearling. Subsequently, she has always had coughing problems due to the damage that was done to her airways. She is now 6 years old. At Spruce Meadows I was introduced to your herbal mixture you call Breathe. I bought a pail and kept my fingers crossed. When I started her on the herbs, she was pastured during the day and kept in our barn at night. Winter has always been a problem for her because of the dust in the hays particularly when fed indoors. I had tried watering her hay down, using alternate feeds, etc. but had no long lasting beneficial results. Within two weeks of starting our Arabian mare on Breathe, we noticed a marked improvement. When being exercised, she no longer had as many of the coughing fits and wasn’t as lethargic as before. Within a month of being on the herb, the coughing stopped and we could extend her training time dramatically. It has now been six months since that first pail of Breathe was purchased and I have been an ambassador to whoever will listen about your product. She is now in training with my daughter for endurance riding, something she could have never attempted before beginning your herbs. Thank you very much for your continuing dedication to this work.

When I purchased my 8 year old Arabian mare she had never been worked with. She was an extremely nervous horse and this nervousness was getting to the point of being dangerous to anyone around her. It also prevented her from learning in training because her mind would always be focused on the outside environment, not on what she was being asked to do. After having wonderful success with your herb Breathe on our other mare, I decided to order a pail of another herbal mixture you call Serenity. A month later, I took her to a local trainer that had known her since I bought her. They are still talking about the incredible change! Nothing sells a product like the visual this provided! Mobility, Serenity, VitaBoost

My 12 year old Hanoverian X mare suffered a splint injury late in the summer of 1996. She recovered but tended to come out stiff on the leg where the injury had occurred. Nothing seemed to relieve this stiffness until I discovered the Herbs for Horses display at the Royal Winter Fair in

November of 96 and talked to the knowledgeable folks there about my problem. They recommended that I start her on Mobility at about 1/2 cup per day. Within two months I noticed a difference in her movement, I no longer heard any clicking of her joints when she trotted and although there is initially still a bit of stiffness, she comes out of it within 5 minutes of steady exercise. This is a vast improvement. I began to find that as she become more and more limber that she also became somewhat excitable so once I again I referred to Herbs for Horses and we started her on Serenity. She is now down to 1/4 cup per day and is as cool as a cucumber, even at dressage shows. To ensure her continued good health, I supplement her feed with VitaBoost powder and credit it with maintaining her great health; she has a highly glossy coat and is looking like a million bucks. As a dressage rider I know how much impact a healthy, glossy fit horse has in the ring and I am very pleased with both the products and the service I receive from Herbs for Horses!

Mobility, Serenity Garlic, Vitamin C

My beautiful seven year old, Hanoverian, "For West", was injured in his paddock when his front shoe was clipped off by his hind right and ended up imbedded in his hind leg. The quick action of our local vet Dr. Shawn Tucker and the capable O.V.C. staff of surgeon, with Dr. Natalie Cote, saved my boy!

The anti-inflammatory herbs in Mobility and the calming herbs of Serenity are part of his rehab program. I also feed your Garlic and Vitamin c to expedite the healing process. I also have to add that your Vitamin C to the tune of 8-10 grams a day helped keep his manure soft and guarded against colic. The surgeon was concerned that his manure was too hard and I suggested the C mix and she agreed. The next day he was passing soft manure.

Once again Ralph I have to thank you for the superior quality of your herbs. They are life saving without a doubt. I also think Serenity settles them which helps guard against colic, tying up and further injury as stall rest and small jaunts of walking are enforced for the next month.
